Pod is a new luxury boutique hotel situated a minute’s walk from the main palm-lined beachfront dining and bar entertainment strip of the Victoria Road promenade. The site’s proximity to the beach is favourable as you can hear the surf break to lull you to sleep. With the ocean to the front and views of Lion’s Head and Table Mountain and across to the Twelve Apostles mountain peaks to the rear, Pod has an enviable position. The linear white cubist design is one of minimalist open-plan interiors demarcated into zones by means of varying colour and texture, from gray granite stone and expansive white volumes and surfaces broken up by warmer light maple woods tones. The design realisation of clean lines is executed in signature white finishes with modernistic organic furniture.

Accommodation is comprised of five categories; Classic rooms having balconies with various views and more spacious luxury rooms with private pools and sun-bathing patios or plunge pools overlooking the beach. The most airy Deluxe Suites occupy corner sites enjoying balcony beach views with generously-proportioned lounges, bath and dressing rooms. A common lounge and inviting long island cocktail bar is where guests meet each other, or relax on the pool terrace overlooking the sea featuring a wraparound swimming pool with poolside service. Facilities within the hotel extend to conferencing and wedding receptions, underground parking and WiFi connectivity throughout.
