Welcome to our Gold Luxury African Safari Vacation package. With no compromise on luxury, this high-impact safari offers ease of travel with hand-picked accommodation and iconic African landscapes spanning South Africa’s Kruger National Park, Victoria Falls in Zambia and the ultimate safari houseboat on the Chobe River, Namibia/Botswana border. With cost and logistics in mind we have minimised the travel time and maximised the African travel experience. We kick off the Experience Africa Gold Safari at Ulusaba, Richard Branson’s private game reserve in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve of South Africa, famed for leopard sightings. Travelling south through the heart of Kruger Park to Jock Safari Lodge, the next stop, can take a while, as there’s no knowing what animals will interrupt the journey. With lamplight and ox-wagons reflecting a pioneering past, no luxury is spared at Jock Safari Lodge; suites have a plunge pool and private viewing lapa (relaxation corner). This part of Kruger is renowned for “Big 5” sightings. Driving to the nearest airport, you take off for a short inter-continental flight to Zambia and The Royal Livingstone Hotel, right beside Victoria Falls. See the spray rising like mist from this mile-wide curtain of tumbling water, one of the greatest natural wonders of the world. To end this 7-night African safari, climb aboard the most luxurious of all houseboats, the Zambezi Queen. Watch elephants playing in the water of the Chobe River and hippos yawning against the backdrop of an orange African sunset, while sipping cocktails from your floating vantage point. We can of course tailor this experience for you, by lengthening some parts, shortening others, adding more R&R, whatever your wish. Below you will find a more detailed description of each destination and your accommodation.

The location of Richard Branson’s Ulusaba in the most highly-rated safari destination of Sabi-Sabi west of the Kruger National Park is ideal while the setting of the lodges’ conical thatched roofs on stilts high upon a craggy ‘koppie’ escarpment is redolent of Hollywood films of King Solomon’s Mines evoking images of romantic escape and frontier adventure. The two Rock and Safari lodges each provide a different perspective on the bush in unparalleled luxury, between which guests can divide their stay.
While the theme at Jock Safari Lodge is pioneering old world charm based around the tale of a feisty little dog - Africa’s equivalent to Lassie - there is nothing quaint about the comfort and quality at Jock Safari Lodge. Expectations are usually exceeded and each large suite has a huge bed surrounded by a canopy of mosquito netting. On the terrace is your very own plunge pool with a wooden walkway leading to a lapa (a secluded, bamboo-screened balcony) looking directly into the wilds of Kruger. Watch out for monkeys in the trees and elephants wandering by.

Unlike any other houseboat in Africa, the Zambezi Queen has made her mark as the ultimate river safari. This floating boutique hotel is a moveable feast that takes advantage of the wildlife action of the Chobe River, with tender boats that enable extra activities like fishing and game viewing excursions. The Afro-chic designed interior has fourteen suites, all with balconies, and the inside living flows outside to spacious decks and a dip pool, from where you can watch an African sunset with cold drink in hand.
Every space at The Royal Livingstone Hotel seems to be dominated by the all-powerful Zambezi River. Don’t test its fatal attraction because not only are there crocodiles and hippos in this river, but it gushes over the mighty Victoria Falls within walking distance of the hotel. The essence of the Royal Livingstone is impeccable service and attention to detail. Personal butlers attend the numerous villas containing guest rooms all situated along the riverbank, each with their own private veranda. You won’t be disappointed
