Product Information > Safari> Royal Malewani, Thorny Bush Game Reserve, South Africa > 4 Bedrooms > Grade: Diamond
The neo-colonial Royal Malewane Game Reserve is located in the Thornybush Game Reserve bushveld 50km/ 30 miles from Hoedspruit adjacent to the Kruger National Park. The air-conditioned Royal Suite sleeps a maximum of four people and comes complete with a private butler and private executive chef John Jackson at your disposal. In addition four complimentary massages per day. Otherwise, facilities include a gym, heated 25m meter lap pool and spa staffed by skincare experts, treatments being given at the spa itself, your own suite or outside in the sala amid the surrounding natural environment. There is also a hydrotherapy tub, jacuzzi, and steam room. One is very much in amongst the elements at the Royal Malewane as elephants may upon occasion use you plunge pool as a fresh water drinking spot!

The order of the day generally consists of an early morning game drive before breakfast and and a leisurely morning until lunch. The main focus of the afternoon is an afternoon game drive to be repeated at night in pursuance of nocturnal wildlife. Royal Malewane has the distinction of having the only Master Tracker in South Africa spotting as a ranger. Sundowners and an evening meal are served al fresco under the stars canopy or if preferred a silver service in the more formal dining areas. In addition to the Big Five of lion, leopard, elephant, (white and black) rhino and water buffalo, cheetahs, giraffe, hippo, zebra and kudu are regularly seen.

The gourmet cuisine is world-class and award winning (Chaine des Rotisseurs Blazon) and prepared to your specific tastes and dietary requirements. Exceptionally, the staff-guest ratio is 4:1 ensuring a bespoke service. Dining locales include the romance of a bedoiun tent illuminated by Moroccan lanterns overlooking a waterhole and hence within view of passing wildlife.

Clothing and bushwear sundries are available from a boutique as well as local souvenir artefacts and curios. Complimentary transfers from the Jackalberry/ Royal Malewane Airstrip are given. The equally prestigious sister properties Birkenhead House and Villa on a cliff-top at Hermanus, famed for whale-watching, and La Residence in the culinary capital of Franschhoek complement the Royal Malewane portfolio.

Internet access is available at at IT centre while wi-fi wireless connectivity is found in all public areas complemented by courtesy lap-top use in the more luxurious suites as is satellite television.
